Daywise Itinerary
Day 1 - GUWAHATI AIRPORT/ GUWAHATI RAILWAY STATION ARRIVAL TO SHILLONG- GUWAHATI ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO SHILLONG - STAY AT SHILLONG .
Welcome to Awesome Assam. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway Station. Proceed to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East". Reach the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani). You may do the water sports here (Optional). On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit Police Bazaar which the biggest local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 - SHILLONG - DAY TRIP TO DWAKI AND MAWLYNNOG VILLAGE
After breakfast visit Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in India. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. It is situated 90 kms. FromShillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. You can enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umgnot River. Evening we will return back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 3 - SHILLONG - DAY TRIP TO MAWSYNRAM & MAWPHLANG SACRED FOREST
After breakfast visit Mawsynram, which as per the new geological reports, receives the highest rainfall in the world. The area is known for its caves. Later visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove. It is one of the biggest Sacred Groves in Meghalaya. It is a well preserved forest by local community. Nothing can be taken out from the forest as this is being protected by the local deities. Visit Khasi model village. In the evening return to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 4 - SHILLONG TO DEPARTURE - VISIT KAMAKHAYA TEMPLE - GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RAILWAY STATION DEPARTURE
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Kamakhya Temple and later With everlasting memories transfer to Guwahati airport / railway station for onward journey.
