Daywise Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVAL & TRANSFER TO DIRANG
Arive at the designated pickup point, meet your driver and begin your scenic journey towards Dirang, a beautiful Himalayan valley surrounded by magnificent mountains and lush landscapes. The drive takes you through winding mountain roads, forests, rivers and picturesque villages. On arrival in Dirang, check in to your hotel and relax. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short local sightseeing tour. Sightseeing-Dirang Valley, Dirang Market, Dirang Monastery, Dirang River, Local village surroundings. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 2 - DIRANG – TAWANG VIA SELA PASS & SELA LAKE
The route passes through some of the most dramatic Himalayan landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Proceed towards Sela Pass, one of the major highlights of the journey. Depending on road and weather conditions, enjoy views of the snow-covered mountains and Sela Lake. Continue towards Tawang through beautiful mountain valleys. En route, visit Nuranang/Jang Waterfall, a spectacular waterfall surrounded by Himalayan scenery. Continue your drive to Tawang and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Sightseeing - Sela Pass, Sela Lake, Nuranang/Jang Waterfall, Himalayan mountain viewpoints, Scenic villages and valleys .Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 3 - TAWANG LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Tawang, one of the most beautiful and culturally significant destinations in Arunachal Pradesh. Begin with a visit to the magnificent Tawang Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the region. Explore its impressive architecture, prayer halls and peaceful surroundings. Continue to Tawang War Memorial, built in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 Indo-China war. Later visit local monasteries, viewpoints and the town area. Depending on time and local conditions, visit Urgelling Monastery, traditionally associated with the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama. Sightseeing - Tawang Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, Urgelling Monastery, Tawang View Points, Local market, Buddhist cultural sites. Return to the hotel and relax.
Day 4 - TAWANG – BUM LA PASS & SANGESTAR LAKE EXCURSION
After an early breakfast, proceed for an exciting excursion towards the high-altitude border region, subject to permit approval, weather and road conditions. Visit Bum La Pass, located close to the India-China international border. The journey offers spectacular high-altitude Himalayan landscapes. Continue towards Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake), a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by dramatic mountains. On the return journey, visit Shonga-tser Lake / nearby viewpoints, subject to accessibility and local conditions. Return to Tawang by evening. Sightseeing - Bum La Pass, Sangestar Lake / Madhuri Lake*, High-altitude Himalayan viewpoints, Shonga-tser Lake / surrounding areas .Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 5 - TAWANG – BOMDILA
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return journey towards Bomdila. Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery along the way. Stop at suitable viewpoints for photographs and short breaks. On arrival in Bomdila, check in to your hotel. Later explore the peaceful town and visit the local monastery. Sightseeing - Bomdila Monastery, Bomdila View Point, Bomdila Market, Local Himalayan surroundings. Spend the evening relaxing at the hotel. Overnight stay in Bomdila.
Day 6 - BOMDILA – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your onward travel schedule, begin your journey towards the designated departure point. Enjoy the final views of the beautiful Himalayan landscape as your memorable Dirang – Tawang – Bomdila tour comes to an end. Tour Ends with Beautiful Memories of Arunachal Pradesh
